Exploring Your Backyard and Beyond

Exploring Opportunities in Your Backyard and Beyond

  • Picture yourself in a career working in the great outdoors. This course will help put you on the right track!

In this innovative new course, you’ll learn about maintaining and restoring native bushland and farmland; irrigation systems, urban gardening and maintenance of small machines.

This course will build on your strengths and skills to help you prepare for the major construction of the Inland Rail Corridor and associated businesses set to take place in the region. The government’s capital investment in the transport and logistics sector is a great reason to launch yourself into Exploring Opportunities in your Backyard and Beyond!

Do something you enjoy, help the environment, and work toward a career where you’ll look forward to getting to work outside!

  • During this course, you’ll complete written work and practical activities outdoors. You’ll be exposed to the elements, so you’ll need to wear a broad brim hat, enclosed leather shoes and long pants during lessons

This course draws on Units of Competency from the FSK20113 Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways. Training will develop the skills participants already hold and build confidence to explore work-related ideas and pathways.

This training is subsidised by the NSW Government. Eligibility rules apply. Contact us to find out more.
