Beekeeping for Beginners
Enjoy this an Apiary weekend workshop for beginner beekeepers.
The instructor Bruce White, OAM is a retired Technical Specialist Apiculture NSW Department of Primary Industries and he will guide you through two days of training, giving you the opportunity to handle live bees as well as learn the theory behind good beekeeping practices.
Safety requirements:
For your own safety you will be required to wear a long sleeve shirt (lightweight if hot), long pants tucked into socks and covered shoes. You will also need to bring a wide brimmed hat with a mosquito net covering your head and neck and clean cloth gloves. You must not wear perfumes, scented sprays and lotions or aftershave to the workshop as these scents annoy the bees.
Course Fee includes Learner Resource pack with DPI “Bee Agskills” workbook to help you source bees and equipment; as well as light refreshments and lunch both days.
This course has no current classes. Please the waiting list.
