RAMHP - Heavy Industry Support Skills
As part of International Women’s Week 2021 (8th March to Sunday 14th March) Gunnedah Community College is hosting a 2 hour workshop, Heavy Industry Support Skills.This course addresses the unique challenges for women working within heavy industries such as mining and high risk work. Participants will leave with the skills, knowledge and confidence to identify and approach others who may be experiencing mental health concerns and to help those at risk of suicide. They will learn communication skills and techniques to cope with stress, as well as how and where to seek help and assistance for mental health concerns. This 2-hour session conducted as part of the Rural Adversity Mental Health Program (RAMHP) is suitable for heavy industries employers and employees.
