It’s a phrase we hear constantly from businesses and farmers. This qualification provides essential support or preparation to ‘be your own boss’ in these challenging times. Learn how to build client relationships and business networks and how to market the small business. This course is suited to existing or new business operators.

Build client relationships and business networks

Develop the skills and knowledge required to establish, maintain and improve client relationships and to actively participate in networks to support attainment of key business outcomes:
  • initiate interpersonal communication with clients;
  • establish client relationship management strategies;
  • maintain and improve ongoing relationships with clients;
  • build and maintain networks.

Market the small business

Develop the skills and knowledge required to monitor and improve business performance with a clear marketing strategy:

  • develop marketing strategies;
  • determine a marketing mix for the business;
  • implement marketing strategies;
  • monitor and improve marketing performance.

This course includes units of competency from:

  • BSBREL402 – Build client relationships and business networks
  • BSBSMB403 – Market the small business.

Assessments are made against units of competency from the Certificate IV in New Small Business BSB42618.
