Responsible Gambling Services - RCG

SITHGAM001 Provide responsible gambling services

The NSW Gaming Laws mandate Responsible Conduct of Gambling training for all people working in the gaming industry. The Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG) course helps to promote safety (harm minimisation) in venues where there are gaming machines, including how to recognise gambling problems and addiction.

Minimum Age: Students can be aged 17 and undertake the course, but can not work until they have turn 18 years old.

Training is aimed at all persons working in the hospitality industry with gaming machines. Certificate/card expires after 5 years.

Please bring current photo ID with you on the day.

Upon successful completion you will be issued with an interim certificate (valid for 90 days), which together with your identity documents will need to be presented to a Service NSW outlet such as the RMS to process your competency card.

Renewals – You can not sit this class if you have a current competency card. When it’s time to renew your Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and/or Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG) competency card, you’ll receive a reminder notice by email or SMS 90 days before your card is due to expire.
