Test and Tag Electrical Equipment

During this course students will gain skills, knowledge and certification required to perform inspections and tests using Portable Appliance Testers (PAT) in accordance with Australian Standard AS/NZS 3760-2010 In-service safety inspection and testing of electrical equipment.

Test and Tag Electrical Licence includes 2 nationally recognised units of competence:
UEENEEE101A Apply occupational health and safety regulations, codes and practices in the workplace
UEENEEP026A Conduct in-service safety testing of electrical cord connected equipment and cord assemblies.

This course comprises of theory and practical hands-on work covering safe working practices and applying OHS practices in the workplace, using portable apparatus tester, identifying faults, applying tagging, arranging for repair of faulty equipment and completing testing documentation.

All materials and equipment to complete the course are included in the course fee. If you have your own PAT (Portable Appliance Tester) please advise the type and model upon enrolment and bring it and the product manual with you to training.

Students need to wear a long-sleeved shirt, long pants and enclosed shoes.

If people are going to undertake Test and Tag work after completion they will need to purchase their own measuring and testing equipment.

Industry standards recommend completing the course every three years to maintain current.

This training will be delivered by Allens Training Pty Ltd, RTO 9099. On successful completion of the training program, the nationally recognised Statements of Attainment UEENEEE101A Apply occupational health and safety regulations, codes and practices in the workplace and UEENEEP026A Conduct in-service safety testing of electrical cord connected equipment and cord assemblies will be issued to students assessed as competent by Allens Training Pty Ltd.
