Sock It To Me!
Who doesn’t need more socks?
If you’re an experienced knitter who has ever wondered how to turn a heel or knit in the round, then this class is for you.
According to The New York Times, "The repetitive action of needlework can induce a relaxed state like that associated with meditation and yoga". Other benefits of knitting include improving your mood, rediscovering a sense of pride in a job well done, and delaying cognitive decline.
Whether you’re looking to take your knitting to the next level or just want to share your interest in this age-old craft, come reap the benefits and join in the fun!
This workshop will be a combination of group teaching and individual help. Get expert advice about those tricky sock parts.
What to bring:
- Wool in a suitable ply (light coloured wool is best when learning new techniques)
- Set of sock knitting needles sized for your wool
- A notepad and pen
- Scissors
This is a fun workshop for the beginner knitter. Morning tea will be provided but you’ll need to bring a sandwich for lunch.
